Directions to Kanabeam
From Capetown in South Africa:
Take N-7 North. We recommend you may want to stop at Springbok at the
Springbok Lodge & Restaurant. Proceed from Springbok on N-7 to Vioolsdrift,
cross the border into Namibia. N-7 then becomes road B-1. Drive North 40
Kilometers and turn left on D-316. Travel 56 Kilometers to Kanabeam which is
located on the left.
From Windhoek in Namibia:
Proceed South on B-1 40 Kilometers South of Grunau to C-10, the turn off to
Ai-Ais and the Fish River Canyon, and take a right. You will come upon
intersection D-316 noting a route towards Noordoewer. Take this route towards
Noordoewer 14 Kilometers and Kanabeam will be on the right.
From Johannesburg in South Africa:
Take N-14 West to Uppington. From Uppington take N-10 to the border crossing
into Namibia. Cross the border. N-10 then becomes B-3. Proceed to Grunau on
B-3 where it joins B-1, turn back to the South 40 Kilometers and turn right on C-10
towards Ai-Ais and the Fish River Canyon. Proceed until you get to an
intersection for D-316 and take a left on D-316. Continue on 14 Kilometers and
Kanabeam will be on your right.
From Noordower:
Take Rosh Pinah road West to Aussenkjer Farm. Pass the main farm area and
look for a sign on the right or Ai-Ais and Fish River Canyon. This is District Road
207. Follow North to Kanabeam or D-316.
From Sendelingdrift:
In the conservation park, cross the Orange River, turn right on the road East to
Noordower. As you approach Aussenkjer, look for a sign on the left to Ai-Ais /
Fish River Canyon, turn left on Department Road 207 and proceed to Kanabeam
or D316.
